2008 will Royal Caribbean ganzjährig die Brilliance of the Sea im Mittelmeer stationieren. Ab Barcelona sollen Kreuzfahrten angeboten werden, die in den USA und Europa verkauft werden sollen. Daneben sollen in der Hochsaison das dannzumal grösste Kreuzfahrtschiff der Welt, die Independance of the Seas, die Navigator of the Sea, die Voyager of the Seas, die Jewel of the Seas, die Legend of the Seas und die Splendour of the Seas nach Europa kommen.
